passed the test???

ok so i just got home from my kidney specialist and was told that i have a horrible kindey infection and possible stones but due to the infection being so bad they could not detcet them...i could have so easily left there witha script of pain pills....but i on my own free will told him that i just got off of suboxone due to the fact of being addicted to opiates. he looked at me kinda crazy and then said well im very proud of you for telling me that and not letting me write you out pain meds..takes a mighty strong person to do that. (have to say it felt good) so he gave me an IV of antibiotics and tramadol for the pain...to get in under controll..and told me to take 2 eleves every 2 hours so that the pain doesnt get so bad that i cant handle it! so thats my plan!
my point of this post is....yesterday was my 90 day mark and today was tested with a very hard test..and PASSED! so im saying all of this to say if i can do it ANYONE can do it!
im in pain and im sure i will be til all this is over, but i do not have to restart my tracker!! this pain is simply nothing compared to the pain if i were to have gotten a script of pills! GO ME!!!!!

We are all so proud of you Jen!!!! You are such a great inspiration for those people just starting their own journey here on medhelp. Being a kidney patient myself I can honestly say there is noooooo pain like kidney pain and the fact that you left that doctors office w/no script is AMAZING!!!!! Keep up the great work, you're really doin it! Your little man will be soooo proud of his momma!

Good for you! I will face that soon, after just having back surgery. I agree, the pain from body, is much less that from the beasts in a bottle. This is my first week..... Thanks for inspiring.

Ohhhh good LOL I hope it helped a bit with the pain . I hope you feel better I have had problems with both kindney stones and infection .If it gets too painful go back to the ER OK .The is no reason you should have to suffer.

hey hunny! u musta misuderstood...my post darlin! he only gave me one dose IV and didnt send me home wit anyrhing but the antibiotics....i was just in so much pain he wanted to get it under controll ASAP before he sent me home and now im JUST taken aleve for the pain! sorry if i wrote the post wrong sweetie! love JENZ

CONGRATS!!!!  You did the right thing.  I'll bet the doctor was surprised to receive the honesty.  

I'm sorry you have the stones and infection.   I hope you get feeling better soon.  I know passing stones is painful!!!

I am sooooo proud of you but I have to say I am very worried about the tramadol its my DOC and it very addicting.can some one hold on to them for you ? Try to take a few as possable the wd is so not fun.congrats sweetie
