I've found that for me weight gain after tramadol wd is when I try to 'feel better' by the energy boost provided by food. Often as a response to the anxiety I was feeling.
Alos, when I was feeling good from the Trams I also wanted to feel even better by eating even when not hungry (energy boost. Some call it self-medicating with food.
As an attempt to keep myself in check, I often have to ask myself if I want to snack because I am actually hungry or because I'm looking to self-medicate. When i can ask myself that question I then often realize I'm craving food for a false energy lift, much like an addict will turn to his DOC when wanting to self-medicate.
Just my viewpoint from my experiences.
Find a 12 step meeting (NA or relaxed AA mets which accepts addicts) to help get you through the day until it gets better. There is a hotline. The only requirement to attend is the desire to stop using the substance.
I have taken Ultram in the past. Like back in 94-95. I found that they made me lose weight. Not that I really needed to. But you do not eat alot. It's a good diet pill..lol...
I think your body is rying to return to what wold be your normal weight...
Good luck with it..
