i couldn't even drive to work-with my eyes the way they were- i turned around and came back- then read alot about the sub and spoke with my dr. And ty for responding : )
it means alot-thought i was alone there for awhile...this is not a pleasant situation so it helps to know someone is there
i am glad u r hanging in there girl...stay awake at work?
Ok i am feeling a lot better now-just have that stomach ache- but i'll live with that and maybe it will go away after a bit more time. I can handle that, as long as i don't have the withdrawl symptoms and nauseousness. nauseousness? Is that a word? Anyway i'll be ok.
I first posted this on my day 3 thread and it should have been here on day 4.......i did more reading on suboxone and it appears that i have been taking too little. I also spoke with my doctor and i will see her tomorrow. She is a naturopathic physician so she does not want me doing this sub anyway and she has found a new treatment to help opiate addicts get off opiates - it consists of different therapies-like vitamin and amino acid IV therapy, acupuncture, biofeedback.. etc -if that works it will be a wonderful thing and i'll let you all know about it. Right now they are doing this therapy at a place called Inner Balance Health Center in Colorado. I will try and put a couple of websites that talk about it, but i haven't looked on the net yet. They are www.InnerBalanceHealthCenter.com, www. BridgingTheGaps.com and www.HealthRecovery.com. Someone tried giving me a website link one time on a thread and they didn't post it-so if you really want it you can ask me in a pm....
Stay awake girl.....put a rubber band around your wrist and pop it when u begin to nod off...i know it sounds silly but it works if u catch urself in time....i did this when i used to go out late alot and start nodding out in class LOL...just an idea...working during all of this is a challenge for sure...was for me anyway..good luck
yes i am taking a split dose-it says the mgs and dosing schedule in my post...
yes, as far as i know we are supposed to take it even if we dont feel bad in the am-it is a drug that has a long half life and takes awhile to peak in your system
I'm so hoping my dr will call back today, the helpline cannot actually advise you on how you should take it, so they really are no help to me right now.
Just trying to hang in there right now
I really think 8 mgs may be to much for you. I would suggest tommorrow just takeing 4mgs in the AM. Bring 4 mgs to work with you but only take them if you feel any unbearable sign of withdrawels. If you do feel you need more, take 2 mgs and wait an hour, if needed then do the other 2 mgs. I really think 4 or 6 mgs may be a better dose for you.
8 mgs isn't a low dose. Yes, alot of people have started alot higher, but I really don't think it's needed unless your addiction drug was a real hard core drug and heavey use, like herion or methadone.
I think you'd find lowering your dose will solve your nodding off problem.
Good luck.
Magi
I read alot about this on here and am trying to learn...it does seem like most dose twice a day but not too late in the day to avoid sleep problems.....maybe u only need 2 in the am and 2 mg in the pm...or even less if u were on hydros and not oxycontin as hydros are weaker....these folks know more about it. should u always dose even if u dont feel bad in the morning? just wondering
are you on a split dose? or are you taking it all at once? a split dose might be beneficial for you...
i can't even drive without nodding. i'm getting completely frustrated and near tears
hahaha Mary- exactly how i feel-tons on energy if i'm moving-eys pulling themselves shut if i'm not.
tommm70 i'm sending you a pm
Just try and get up and move every now and then. It's crazy but Magi and I decided they were motion activated. lol Have a great day.
Sub can defintely make you tired. Take vitamin B supplements for energy. It really helps.
Heavy eye, wow, that is a perfect way of putting it. I know the feeling exactly.
How many times a day are you taking the sub? I only took one dose a day, I know some others take 2, but 8 hours apart.
You said "plus i know she didn't prescribe this to anyone yet so i'm not really sure she will know exactly what to tell me about this heavy eye thing, for now i'm going to take my doses a little farther apart." What does that mean? Are you her first sub patient?
8mg a day is not necessarily low, I maintained at 4, some maintain at 16. What does are you prescribed? What was your induction dose?
keep posting, the fatigue sucks, but it is managable.
does anyone have any suggestions before i head out to work? Thanks
