I just want to tell you how happy I am for you..You will feel better and better before you know it..life is so much better after the methadone is gone. You should be awfully proud of yourself as we know it isn't easy to do..congrats.You are in my prayers.
I couldnt agree with you more, I,ve been hiding behind methadone for so long & I thought I knew how to cope with life, now I realize it was the drug masking my emotions. thoughts, fears, etc. I am so thankful that I did this slow, It has taken me almostost one year to drop from 90mgs down to 1mg, so Im lucky, I dont get the RLS, or any stomach discomfort at all. I have zero cravings for using but lots of craving for feeling better. You dont realize the power that methadone has till it leaves your body, wow, what a ride I have had. Penelope
Well done!!
Easy does it, tiger. Remember that you're highly skilled at dealing with life with your methadone, but you've probably forgotten a bit about how to cope without it.
Focus on the small positive things, be kind to yourself, and if you struggle to sleep, count all the good things you have going for you.
...and if you ever crave, look it squarely in the eye and tell it to sodd off.
Love and light
Samma
Good on you at day 4! It will get better, then worse again, then better and on and on....Not trying to discourage you just being honest, and giving my experience of opiate recovery for a little over two months now. The good days do last longer and come around way more than the bad.
CONGRATS ON DAY 4. I CAN RELATE YOU ARE DOING GREAT KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.HUGS HOLLY
