Many doctors still prescribe this thinking that it won't cause addiction.  I have used Tramadol (Ultram) before, but it did not take away my pain.  I would have to take 3 pills in order to get pain relief and it would make me feel euphoric.  I felt at that time I could become addicted to the Tram quicker than Lortab.  At the time, I believe I would have become addicted to Tram because I liked the way it made me feel.  That's why I chose the Lortab instead, but unfortunately I ended up addicted to that anyway since I was on it for so long.

Seriously, I would NOT take the Tramadol.  Although I have a family member who uses it only when needed and she has no addiction issue with it.  Be very careful!

I was put on trams 4 years ago for female problems, I never abused it but it is taking me 4 months to get off of it after telling my doctor i no longer wanted to take it after reading on this site about it. I am only going down two pills a month over the next 4 because my doctor said its very dangerous to jump off of it. PLease be careful with it because even if you dont abuse it its hell to get off of if taken long enough. If you need any more info please let me know

good luck

This drug is so very addictive.  I was on it for over 4 yrs.  Abused it for over 2.  The withdrawal is terrible.  Please don't continue to use.  It changed me as a person and it almost ruined my life.  I am so thankful that I knew to get off it before I lost everything.  My marraige, my kids, my family, my friends.
It creeps up on you and before you know it, you are addicted and abusing it.  Please stop now while you can.
This drug is a synthetic opiate.  It is as bad as real opiates.
