off suboxone back to norco

Ok,  I've been on subs for 29 days now and I have comfortably tapered from 8 - 6 - 4 and currently at 4.  I am having a very hard time on this stuff with side affects.  Can't p••p,  hemroid developed because of this.  when I do finally go, stop reading now if you have a week stomach, it is extremly dry, hard and parts of it are mucas coated white.  I am also in a funk.  I can't figure out if this is the mental part of missing the norco or if this is a sub side affect.

• No energy
• Heavy sleep
• Difficuslty waking up
• Once awake I stay in a pull down mode all day
• Depression

I just want to feel normal and to be able to p••p again.  I was seriously considering go back on norco for a week or to than going CT.  I was a 3-6 pill user per day 10/325 most days 3.

I hope nobody is offended with this very discriptive message.  I really just need so help.

D~

I am with mr.lucky.

you went out of the frying pan,and into the fire. and its not your fault.I am sorry, but it comes off as another example of the money grubbing sub doc system.

the doc should have known that the narcotic replacement opioid he was prescribing at that dose, was much stronger than the amount of norcos you were taking. IMO  dont take the sub at all, and get off it before it gets a grip on you.

This is a good example of why sub isn't a good idea for vicodin/ hydro addiction, in most cases. It's like trying to put out a fire with gasoline. The sub docs are glad to put you on sub and pocket the huge fees and most of them don't really know much about addiction, narcotic doses or may not even care. I would switch back to hydro instead of getting hooked on sub which sounds like it doesn't agree with you anyway. all the best

My org was 8 to 8.5 daily.  I was ok the first week but even than I was very tired.  My doc does know all my symptoms and even the one about how fatigue I am.  Not kidding, I am tired to the not functional point.  It also feels like I have had very very mild sesizors.  Not sure, so I will bring this up at my Tues. Apt.  Cerioisly though,  I want off.  My docts exact comment to my symptoms was "well some people react differently  to meds than others".  NO KIDDING!  Anyway I just want off.

D

PS hands going numb as I type, tired pull down comming on and very sick stomachs.  My last sub was at 3PM yesterday.  When can I take
my norco and be do with this?

Hun I was just like you. I went on a sub program and paid out of pocket over thousand bucks and after research on sub wd's being twice as hard and lasting twice as long I quit the sub and went back on about half the amount of lortabs I used to take for about 3 weeks and then quit the lortabs ct and after a week I felt great. Just my experience. THEN go seek quality aftercare and you will never have to go through this junk again and can start living a wonderful life. God bless and work hard at it.   Tex

i agree with goodnest 's suggestion. from what i have been hearing, it is easier to just come off the norcos. a slow taper over a month or 2 will be very mild side effects.

a suggestion for your worst complaint. cleaning up your diet will help tremendously. lots of whole, real , foods. not processed and not everything cooked.this will help give you more energy too. drink lots of water- adding a little salt to it (himalayian salt would be the best. full of minerals and good for you) stay away from anything that is dehydrating. like sodas, alcohol. also coffee helps. but not too much because it is dehydrating also.
best to you

Hi & Welcome,

You are right--I did not need the poop description. LOL

You certainly can go back to the Norco to get off of the Suboxone but then you will need to get on the Suboxone again to get off of the Norco. See where I am going? When does it end?

Wasn't your goal (with the Suboxone) to get off drugs? If so, this is not the answer.

You were on a very low dose to begin with and I cannot believe that a doctor would put you on Suboxone for that low a dose. In addition, the amount of time you have been on the Sub is short and you should be able to come off with minimal withdrawal.

It comes down to making the decision to change your life and your lifestyle. Only YOU can make that choice.

All the best to you.

Sorry that you are having a hard time and yes about the p***p part I have that too but I take a stool softener and that helps plus a lot of fiber pills and stuff like that so I'm ok with going at least ones every 2 days suriously thats good for me, but I think if you were only taking 3 to 6 pills a day and you said 3 opiods I really think you can do it with out the sub as far as the w/d goes but the mental part is the most difficult so you really need to go see a pchycologist that will give you something for depression, and stay on the sub if you what so you don't go back on the norco but I really think that not going to the bathroom so often is the price to pay for staying a live, I'm on subutex and was really depress and anxiaty and all that but the dr. I  was going he just gave me suboxone and thats all cause he was not a pchycologist on substance abuse so I relapse a few times under his care but now that i have the right dr. I havent in the past 8 months but i do take depression, anxiaty, subutex medication. Good luck and no don't go back to the norcos is just your body is not getting used to the sub cause you are dropping really fast so that is why.
