Could I Have Black Mold??

I always had horrible sinus problems, being allergic to 2 VERY common trees and an outside mold. I've had a lot of sinus infections and even tried sinus surgery. Lately, though, I haven't been having many problems. My finace and I just moved into a new apartment almost 2 weeks ago. We noticed that the second night we were there he started feeling like his nose was really stuffy all the time but he didn't feel sick (he never gets sick) so after a few days his went away mostly. I started noticing my nose feeling stuffy too. Mine has gotten kinda bad as it is started to feel like it's in my chest. I wake up a million times a night needing a drink and sweating. My fiance's snoring has gotten unbarable since we moved in. We know we have brand new carpets and brand new paint and everything but the people who lived here before us were here for 4 years and had a bunch of cats. Also, I feel like it's NEVER cool enough in the apartment and I'm ALWAYS sweating and turning the air up. If this is a coinsedence (sp?) then fine but if this sounds like it could be black mold or something similar PLEASE someone let me know. I am MISERABLE-can't sleep and just constantly feel awful. Thanks!
