Eosinophil Count has increased to 12.Pls help

Hi. My male relatives is 47 years old. He recently had high blood pressure  and the physician advised blood tests. The blood report showed LDL of 103. And increased eosinophil count (12%). An year back the eosinophil count was 9%. So it was an incidental discovery that the increased eosinophils are actually the real reason behind his runny nose, constant cold, cough and fatigue (He has been having these symptoms for about 4 years now). The doc has prescribed Banocide for 21 days (thrice in a day) along with Cardace. My questions are as follows- (1) Will Banocide be effective in reducing his constant cold, cough  and will thata also have a positive impact on his high blood pressure(2) Is the increased eosinphil count cause to worry? (3) What are the preventives measures to be taken or does he need to avoid some sort of food etc?

He went to the doc again today after about 4 days of medication. THe doc was positively surprised to see that the blood pressure has returned to normal. However the runny nose has reocurred. Would be grateful for the advice provided
