Is there a subtitution?

Hi, 3 years ago I sprained my ankle (inverse sprain) that wasnt taken care of properly. I tried to take pain meds like ibruprofen, tylenol, advil, aspirin, ect.......but i am allergic to them...puffed lips and pain to drink and eat....are there any other perscriptions to take other than these?

Hello,

Advil or ibuprofen belongs to NSAID(non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs)group.If you are allergic to ibuprofen ,chances are that you will be allergic to rest of the drugs in this group like aspirin,mefenamic acid etc.

You can also take opiates group of pain killers but you need a prescription from you doctor to take them. They include:
Tramadol (ultram), morphine, hydrocodone, oxycodone (percocet) amongst the important ones.
