My daughter suffering with cough she had taken testes

Sir,
From last 15 days my daughter suffering with different cough.especially in night timeings.as per doctor suggestion . we had taken HAEMOGLOBIN Test. result as follow

WBC Count              13,800 cells/cumm

Polymorphs                    45 %                
Lymphocytes                  50%
Eosinophils                     05%

ESR ( Wester Gren)         05mm/Hour

ABSOLUTE EOSINOPHIL COUNT    690 cells/cumm

after our doctor saw the test he told that some infection there. he suggested tab CLAVAM 375 , Bncamf 2.5 mg 1/2 tab and Tuspel sirup for seven days. we completed 3days with todays. frist days cough came to control. but after 3 days again cough repeated in night times. we did not stop the medicines yet. still we continue.

i am afraied when i saw her cough. is any dangerous or not. is it normal or rare in childrens please help me

Hi, welcome to the forum. It is quite important to rule out the cause of the cough, at the same time exacerbating factors, such as exposure to environmental tobacco smoke, dust etc. should be pointed out and further exposure should be avoided. Her blood report suggests that there is long term respiratory infection.

It is important to know whether she aspirated any foreign body. The other causes needed to be ruled out are airway malacia, laryngotracheobronchitis and infection with Chlamydia trachomatis.

She needs to undergo certain tests like allergen test, spirometry, and serological test for Chlamydia and bronchoscopy to rule out foreign body.

Treatment includes cough suppressants, a trial therapy with bronchodilators, avoiding triggering factors, and available home remedies like use of honey and echinacea.

I suggest you to consult pediatrician specialized in respiratory medicine for evaluation and prescription and above drugs.
