I have had a problem with tonsil stones for years now, and I know how they taste. Normally, I don't notice a taste from them unless I have one that has dislodged from my tonsil. But for the last 3 days it's all I can taste! I've been looking in my throatCancer - throat or larynx Throat swab culture and brushing a q-tip behind my tonsils to see if there's anything back there hat needs to come out, and there isn't!
So why else would I have this extremely bad, bitter, nasty taste in my mouth?
My allergies haven't been acting up. NO stuffy noseNose fracture, no runny noseNose fracture, no sneezing.
I'm stumped.
You need to get an ENT consultation at the earliest.
It would be advisable to get a proper clinical evaluation done and also to talk to your doctor about getting a tonsillectomy done.
What is your age? What have your doctor's advised you till now?
You should also talk to your specialist whether you need any antibiotics or not.
Let us know how you are doing and also about what your doctor advises.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
