Singulair and insomnia

Can Singulair cause or worsen insomnia?  If so, would it help to take it in the morning?  Would it still be effective if taken in the morning?

Hi, welcome to the forum, there are no concrete studies showing the effect of Singulair on sleep pattern. Insomnia when on singulair is a uncommon side effect as it may be due to stimulatory action on the brain. It may be due to increase in amines. Nervousness and excitability is recognized side effect of this drug. If you are suffering from bronchial asthma then drug should be preferably taken in the evening. If one has other allergic manifestations then one can take it in the morning every day. I suggest you to consult physician for further clarification. Take care and regards.
