Target Rash

Target Rash

for some time now, I have been having bouts of rashes with Trget spots. Usualloy, my hans and my feet itch a lot and then after a few ays I satrt to see target rashes appear, first on my hands and then on my arms. On a few occasions, it has spread to my chest and back. I take hypertensive medicine and my doctor thought that this might be the cause (an adverse reaction to the drug). I have changed medication from Diovan HCT to Benecar to Losatum Potassium to DoxaZosin. I still have the problem. I have tried to eliminate various other things that I thought may have contributed (almonds etc). Has anyone had a similar experience and what do they suggest. I'm afraid to stop my medication!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Understand your predicament. But you will have to take the medications regularly for adequate control. Increased pressures are like to cause many complications like stroke or angina to name a few. Allergic testing may be worth looking into. In addition you can begin with good lifestyle measures to control Hypertension. They help to reduce the severity levels of blood pressure. Follow this protocol; Exercise regularly. Avoid those foods which are high in oil content. Eliminate alcohol, stop smoking and avoid caffeinated beverages and spicy food. Practice relaxation techniques and avoid becoming overanxious and to Enjoy a Stress free Life.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
