can you get strep throat because of a cat allergy

My three year old niece was just diagnosed with strep throat.  She's allergic to cats and she was playing with some kittens all weekend.  Could this be the cause of her strep throat?

self care at home is very important at this time.Therefore, drinking enough fluids is very important.You may choose to give  high-quality fluids such as soup broth (which replaces both salt and water losses) and sugar-containing solutions (they help the body absorb the fluids more rapidly).
