painful cystoperitoneal shunt
I have a cystoperitoneal shunt going on 1 1/2 years - hurts since day one - bad headaches where shunt is, abdomen doubles me over (abdomen feels like barb wire inside and bloats me up). question - i was on prednisone for a bad sinus infection and the first day was the first day without horrible head pain. can i be allergic to the shunt? benadryl also seems to help.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Please have yourself evaluated, as an infection of the shunt is likely to cause pain and your other symptoms of abdominal bloating.

Warm regards.
