Hi
Welcome to the forum!
The red spotsBirthmarks - pigmented Liver spots Measles, koplik spots - close-up Mongolian blue spots could be tiny bruisesBone bruise Bruise Bruise healing - series Muscle bruise Skin bruise. Deficiency of Vitamin B12, folicFolate deficiency Folic acid Folic acid - test Folic acid and birth defect prevention Folic acid-ferrous fumarate Folic acid-ferrous sulfate Folic acid/cyanocobalamin/pyridoxine hydrochloride acid, or Vit K could be the cause. They could also be fragile spider veins. The spots could also be petechiae, which are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. They can result from autoimmune disorders, such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, bone marrow disorders such as leukemia, inflammation of the veins, as a side effect of certain medications (this is ruled out as your daughter is not on medication). If along with spots there is itch, then it could be contact dermatitis due to bra material or soap, powder, deo, perfume etc. It could also be herpes, if there is pain.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. I can understand your reluctance to expose her chest to a doctor. However without examining the spots no doctor can give a confirmed diagnosis and since she is only 12 yrs, you can request to be present during the examination.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
