Anyone with similar issues?? I could sure use some advise or anything.
Thanks
I totally hate this ****! I was just sitting here playing on the computer thinking about going to bed when my left jaw started to hurt. That went away. Few minutes later left arm started to hurt! I cant stand this anymore! The pain in the arm went away now.
Thanks for the response. I have had a few diagnosis but nothing that would really explain the pains i am having. Had more bloodwork done last week and everything is fine and dandy there. I am really HOPING that the mri will at least give me some relief.
Once again thanks for the support!
I'm sorry to hear that you are still have constant pains. Hopefully, you will get some answers with the ct and mri scans to rule out any medical causes. You've had nearly every test in the book for heart problems, so you can at least be confident that you are okay in that department. If everything turns out okay, and your final diagnosis is anxiety / panic, the pains should go away once this is treated properly.
Therapy typically involves once-a-week (sometimes twice-a-week sessions at first) that last anywhere from 45 - 60 mins. Once a month is not likely to have much therapeutic value. During the initial consultation, the therapist will do an evaluation and get your history to see if the two of you would be an appropriate fit. You then meet weekly for talk therapy. When you move to your new location, definitely try looking for a new therapist - someone who will see you once a week.
Hope all goes well with your additional tests.
I think it was just a consultaiton with a therapist. She refered me to a Dr. i guess. This was my first ever appt of this sort. Never had any counseling before in my life. Dont have another appt. till mid next month. But it is too late as i am moving on Aug 3rd out of state.
Now i really dont know what to do!
I have been doing better but still have horrible pains all the time now! Trying not to let my mind control everything!
Thanks
Was this a consultation with a therapist or a psychiatrist? Therapy usually takes place on a weekly basis. Psychiatrists (for medication management) usually see you once a month. If this is therapy, waiting a month for another session is way too long, and won't be of much help in the long run. I would definitely recommend seeing a different therapist.
How have you been doing lately? Has the anxiety been letting up a bit?
I have been having chest, arm, jaw, back and headaches over the course of the last 4 months. I constanlty think i am having a heart attack. I have had 5 trips to the er, 1 exercise treadmill test, tons and tons of bloodwork and xrays. Ambulance rides, racing heart after i would feel anypain. Endoscopy, ct, next monday mri. I dont know what else to do. Other than minor health issues. No other diagnosis. Thanks to all who have posted.
Thanks
