Living with RA

I am so tired of all of the medicines. One causes more symptoms which invites more medicines.  I never feel well. Ever.   I have been on steroids for 3 yrs at 20mg a day.  I am now sliding down the other side of a double edge sword.   I am completely frustrated.  My quality of life is non EXISTANCE.   why can't doctors figure this out.   Why am I constantly treated like a guinea pig trying new meds only to find out they don't work either.  

What is RA doing to my body.  More important are all the meds making me feel worse

I am ready to quit.  No one should have to live life in such pain without and relief   As for the NSAIDs.  Please stop cramming them down my throat.  They are tearing p my stomach

Unfortunately you're a victim of a dysfunctional mechanism
a heartless system of sorts,
that simply does not care  for your long term
wellness and well-being.
And unfortunately doctors are part
of this system and they do as they are trained.
It's not personal and you should not take it personally.


Steroids lower your immune function, making you more vulnerable to getting infections  and getting sick.
The New England Journal of Medicine published an article in June of 1999 that stated, “It has been estimated conservatively that 16,500 NSAID-related deaths occur… every year in the United States” More deaths occur every year from NSAIDs than acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, cervical cancer, or Hodgkin’s disease.

Common side effects of NSAIDs:

Stomach ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding,Increased blood pressure,
Delayed digestion,Dizziness,Tinnitus (ringing in the ear)
Headache, Depression, Kidney damage, liver damage and more!

But don't get discouraged.
There are many better ways to improve your condition.

Try an anti-arthritic diet, apple cider vinegar unfiltered,organic & raw.
Supplement with a combo of Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin for 3 months
minimum and the effectiveness will be much better than any drugs on the market and no side effects.

Use organic extra virgin coconut oil in your cooking , instead of pro-inflammatory cooking oils. This alone will help you a lot as  organic extra virgin coconut oil is a great anti-microbial and anti-fungal.
Look into "oil pulling" with organic extra virgin coconut oil to limit bacteria and toxins spreading into your bodythrough your oral cavity.
I do this each and every morning for years!

Try your very best to get some activity every day.
Walking or swimming are great ways to exercise. You need to rise above your pain, and just do it.
