Problem of arthritis

dear sir, I am suffering from arthritis problem since 2 years. I did test of HLA B27 and it was positive. due to arthritis my eyes gets red and paining inside. even I cant view the normal sunlight which irritates me a lot. during this problem I took steriods which give relief. Now my all body joints are paining from inside alot. it stucks. while waking up in the morning, I cant able to move my body. Pl recommed me some remedies and medicine drug which are avaiable at India. Thank you

I would suggest you find a doctor who specializes in arthritis treatment. Also go to an eye doctor immediately because arthritis can affect your eyes and the inflammation of the iris can lead to scarring and blindness. Steroid drops should help with this.

Steroid treatment for your joints is not a good long-term solution. I don't know what drugs are available in India, but you should at least be given a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSDAID) to ease pain and swelling. Some of these include naproxen, meloxicam, aspirin, ibuprofen

Other drugs to treat the underlying immune system problem causing the swelling and pain include:

placquenil
methotrexate
enbrel
orencia
humira
rituxan

Again, I don't know which of these are available in India, but I would hope that at least placquenil and methotrexate, which have been around for many years, will be available to you.
