Just picked up my MRI report. It says;
"cysts in the lateral posterior aspect of the humeral head and also in anterior midportion within the glenoid."
My doctor is off for the week (thanksgiving) Can you tell me if this is what causes the awful pain in my shoulder? Cysts? What is the remedy? Thank you!
Cyst refers to a space lined by a membrane containing non-solid tissue and could be responsible for the symptoms. These could be located within the bone or around it in the joint space. Management is largely dependent on the type, location and the size of the cysts. It would be best to discuss the situation and the management plan in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this helps.
