Neck, ear, upper back

Neck, ear, upper back

Hi, I would really like to know if someone can help me.  I currently have a lot of post nasal drip.  I had bronchitus (bronchitis) earlier this year.  Although the bronchitus (bronchitis) is fine I don't feel well yet.  I don't know if I am just parranoid.  I had this back pain upper right wich bothered me alot but it only hurts when I sit for a long time in front of the computer though.  I went to the Dr. who did full blood tests and told me he found nothing wrong.  (This started a year ago) I got the bronchitus (bronchitis) and since then have been coughing up alot of phlem.  With the bronchitus (bronchitis) I had very bad sinus pain.  Got antibiotics and yes the sinus pain is gone now for about 6 months although the drip never left.  I dont know if the couhging can be due to the drip I have.  It is not a overwelming cough more like a clearing cough.  I went another Dr again in April who did another set of blood test and took x-rays of my chest.  They found nothing.  He gave me again antibiotics.  I have no lumps, no fever, no weight loss, no extreme fatique although I am overweight.  It does sometimes feel asif my food comes up in my throat but I don't have a burning sensation like when you have heart burn.  Sometimes when it feels as if I can swollow the phlem and sometimes it just comes into my mouth (sorry I know this sounds horrible)  I was just wondering, It really bothers me up to the point where I am constantly thinking if I dont have the big "C" word.  although I did all of the tests.  I have no additional wheezing or chest pain.  When I wake up in the morning it feels as if my whole throat is full of phlem and my nose is stuffed.  although the nose opens up during the day.  The coughing is also mostly in the morning, none at night time and then a little in the late afternoon.  Please if you have any advice for me I will greatly appreciate it.  I was diagnosed with Cronic (chronic) asmatic sinisitus and bronchitus (bronchitis) about 16 years ago but since the last 12 years only had bronchitus (bronchitis) twice.  Thank you so much.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

I think you should try seeing an allergy specialist.  It sounds like a lot of your symptoms are coming from this post nasal drip.  If you could get that drip under control then your other symptoms may very well subside.  There are nasal sprays and medications that you can take that can help get rid of the post nasal drip.

An allergy specialist or an ENT would be a good start to getting this under control.  Good luck.
