I have friends who's son had his adenoidsAdenoid removal(adenoidsAdenoid removal) removed twice for the same reason that his grew back. Yes, adenoids (adenoids) can cause problems if they are too large. I nearly had mine pulled out as an adult! It turned out that my sinus infections were irritating my adenoids (adenoids) to the point that they got quite large. But because the problem stemmed from my sinuses I had my adenoid surgery cancelled. I too have asthma and so I know that it can be hard to determine the cause of the symptoms. Many times there are co-morbid conditions that can aggravate the asthma. I would certainly follow up with the doctor concerning the adenoids (adenoids), as they can create their own problems and add to other conditions. It is quite well possible that they could be bringing on more coughing due to decreased space in the throat, and not allow for proper drainage from the sinuses. But asthma also causes coughing.
