For the last 6 years I have been anemic and no doctor has been able to find the source. Also, for about a week in August, I had very lose bloody bowel movements following a week of constipation.
If anyone has any ideas or advice, it will be welcomed !!!!!!
Trinity, if you've cut out diary and gluten and you want to be tested by a GI person, do it soon. To be really sure if your celiac you have to be eating gluten for quite awhile to make sure they'll see something on the tests - sorry to say.
You should ask for a colonoscopy at the very least.
If it is celiac, you may have to be off of gluten (and possibly cross-reacting to dairy (casein) for awhile for all the pain to disappear. It's not going to be overnight. Most people find that it takes over 4 weeks to really feel some major changes when they're gluten-free.

I have had celiac disease for 6 years now and I went threw the pain on the lower right side for a long time, they put me threw a bunch of tests. that all came out showing nothing. My doctor thought that it could be my intestine swelling from all the gluten that I ingested. The pain was intense but after a month of strict gluten free diet and milk free diet The pain subsided. I still get it every now and then and its from accidental cross contamination from ingesting gluten. Get tested for celiac disease to at least rule it out. and go from there. I was also severly anemic, But my Gasro DR put me on 150mg of iron pills that were gluten free. It took along time to get my iron levels at a satisfactory level. and now I dont need them. Get Checked, cuz undiagonsed celiac disease isnt good. Good luck to you. I hoped that I helped some.
Thanks. I had a uterine biopsy that came back negative. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow,11/16, morning and an endoscopy on 11/19. I will definitely keep you all posted.
