cabbage soup diet

I have celiac disease and have been gluten-free for 3+yrs.Ten years ago I did the cabage soup diet and lost 12lbs. in 1 week. I kept the weight off until now. I am menopausal  and just quit smoking, so I've gained some weight. I would like to do this diet again, but I want to know if it is safe for a celiac. I know all the ingredients are GF.

Poke Poke!  :-)

Well, if the foods are GF then it should be ok I guess.  Although you want to consider any vitamin/mineral needs as well as food intake.  Can you still take your GF vitamins and minerals on this weird vegetable soup diet?

How about your thyroid, have you had it checked lately?  Just a thought.

If you are willing to try a restrictive diet try the raw vegan diet. It tastes better, it's more nutritious and you will have a far healtier weightloss. If you have only gained "some weight" it will come off quickly AND all raw vegan food is gluten-free except for sprouted grains and oat recipes. You don't want to mess around with unbalanced diets if you have celiac disease. Read the book by Sarma "Raw Food Real World":
