This is not any kind of "Official" list of Chiari Specialists! These are simply Neuro Surgeons that we patients have listed as liking. No background checks have been made about them. If you wish to follow up, please research on your own. If you are comfortable with your current doctor and he/she is actually qualified to perform Chiari Decompression Surgery, then don't let us tell you any differently. If I remember correctly from your other post these were the states you are interested in...if not let me know....also keep in mind you may have to travel to get to a true Chiari specialist...

Educate yourself so you will be able to recognize the right Dr  for you...and having the right Dr is key !!

I can not see the file for the USA docs

  I am north of Philly and went down and did not get the help or support I needed so I went up to NYC...The " specialist"  in Philly said I indeed had Chiari but it was above him and he had no idea where to send me or what I should do next....all in 5 mins that he gave me....sigh....

For Chiari you deff want a true Chiari specialist not just a NS that has done the surgery or is aware of Chiari...as the related conditions can affect how you feel and heal post op.

I live near philly also and am looking into Chiari specialists. Was the specialist you say in NYC helpful? If so could I have the doctors name?

Thanks! I was hoping to see some doctors more local to me, we had great luck at Jefferson in Philly when diagnosed with 2 aneurysms, but now I think the Chiari symptoms are getting worse..
