Hi,  did you take thyroid medication when you where pregnant?  I know that sometimes, if the mother had an under active thyroid during pregnancy, the baby sometimes have developmental problems due to his brain not developing normally.  My son is now 2 1/2 years old and still doesn't have head control.  My story is however a bit different to yours but the fact remains that he must start therapy as soon as possible.  You wouldn't want deformities (especially spinal) because he flops.  It is difficult I know and the outcome is different from child to child.  Point is, get him to a Paediatrician as soon as possible and start him on physical therapy under a specialists supervision.  Tackle problems as they come up, don't think too far ahead now.  You'll drive yourself crazy!    Good luck
