My sons fevers

by Mamuchis, Jun 30, 2009 12:27AM
My son is almost 2 yrs old and has had 6 fevral seizures. I am constantly paranoid over this and he 105 temperatures outside don't seem to help any. He is diagnosed with asthma and his breathing is scary when he sleeps. The scary part of this that his mouth dries up and drools white foam. He worries me so much. Why does he foam is it normal cuz he doesn't do it all the time only when he has fevers. Please give me advice.

I know just how scary it is to see your child have seizures.  My son is also 2 and has had at least ten febrile seizures in the last year.  Shortly after his first birthday, he started having monthly recurring fevers with no symptoms and seizure when the fever spikes.  This has been going on for a year now.  The only diagnosis from the MANY tests is that he has lots of food allergies.  I have seen some improvement in the last months since getting him off of these foods.  He has still gotten fevers, but they are easier to control and has not had a seizure in months.  I pray that these improvements continue.  I don't know if this will be any help to you or not, but at least know that you are not alone.  Be encouraged, he will get better!
