I experienced a change in bowel movements almost a year ago. They were becoming increasingly narrow, and it was getting painfulPainful menstrual periods during elimination. I went to my internist last January and she referred me to a colorectalColon cancer Colorectal polyps specialist for a colonoscopy. He found no polyps, and only mentioned that I needed to eat more roughage as I had irritation around my rectum. Since that time, I continue to have pain during and after elimination, and now my movements are becoming somewhat looser. I have passed very few "normalNormal saline flush" stools in the last year. Should I be concerned?
