Does this sound like colon cancer?

I am a 44 year old male. Have a history of hemorroids (hemorrhoids) and fissures. Last night I had a bowel moventment after wiping there was blood on the tissue. Everything looked normal as far as the stool goes. This morning I had another bowel movement. At the end of the stool there was a little mucus with blood on it. Not very much. I had a colonoscopy 18 months ago. They removed one small adenoma polyp. This came back benign with no dysplasia. Does this sound like colon cancer? I am very worried. Thanks

With a history of fissures and hemorrhoids this may be blood from those, and it's common to see a little mucus once in a while.  But I would contact your GI doctor regarding this just to be on the safe side.  It may be what I mentioned above or a bleeding polyp.  It takes awhile for polyps or cancer to develop and grow, so in 18 months I doubt that anything serious has developed.  But see your GI doc just to put your mind at ease.  We always need to stay proactive with our health, and by doing this we can stop things before they become a problem.  Hope this helps and take care.
