i have excessive gas in the right quadrant on liver. it causes bloating and dierrhea. i have this problem for 2 months.
my ct scan and blood results are normal. can a ct scan find a tumor in case i had?
CT scan can help detect colon tumors and if they have spread to the nodes or the liver, they can be picked up by the scan. But small growths or ulcers can be missed by CT scan, but can be visualized by colonoscopy. Colonoscopy is the gold standard for diagnosing colon cancers and besides visualizing, it helps to take a biopsy of the same.
