Dental Crown Fit (part 2)

Dental Crown Fit (part 2)

I meant to ask one further question. I'm the one having trouble believing that my gum changed so much in 2 months that the crown didn't fit. The dentist offered to make a new one at his cost of $400.00. Should I have to pay for this new crown in case I decide or need a new one?

Thanks again

Ah, ok.  So the issue was discussed.  The gums can change in two months.  Its not necessarily the crown but also the teeth may have shifted some to close the space where the crown fits.

As for the $400, I don't really know.  If it is causing some problems, I would recommend having it redone but making sure that the doctor and you agree.  I would be very specific about the timeline of the crown replacement to ensure the best possible outcome because it would be a tough situation for both parties if you paid again and you got the same result.  Hope that helps some.
