Exhaled cigarette smoke smells like urine!

Hello,

This may sound odd as I do not seem to be able to find any related information on the web, but the cigarette smoke I exhale smells like urine! I've wondered what this could be and perhaps naively assume it could be related to a dental issue.

Have you ever come across this before?

For your information, all I have found so far is that there is a connection between breath that smells like urine and chronic kidney failure. If this is what is most likely to be causing the urine-like exhaled cigarette smoke, naturally that would be of concern to me; although I feel like I am in good health.

Your advice would be valuable. If you're fairly confident that this doesn't sound like a matter falling under dentistry, perhaps you may be able to suggest another forum on this site where I might find some help.

I haven't heard that before either.  I did a quick search through my dental textbooks and can't find anything except what you had mentioned earlier, which is a failed kidney.  You can attempt to ask this question in the oral and maxillofacial surgery section and seeing if the oral surgeon there has any ideas.  Sorry I can't be of much more help.
