Severe pain next to extracted tooth

about year ago i did tooth extraction and had a denture to fill the gap
but ive never wear it.

now i have a extreme pain next too extracted teeth i feel its from pressure and teeth shifting

the pain will lessen after hours of not chewing anything

the gap is big i think it will take years of teeth shifting

what should i do now
should i wear my denture? (it still fit in)
would the pain go if i stop teeth from moving??

pls excuse my bad english
Thanks !

You should get your teeth checked out by a dentist.  Was the last time you saw a dentist one year ago?

Wearing the denture may not help much.  There could be something happening that is not related to the teeth shifting
