Cementoma and cementoblastoma are two different entities.
Cementoma is an out-dated term, currently, it's called periapical cemento-osseous dysplasia. This entity is commonly located on lower anterior jaw bone. Lower anterior teeth are vital. No treatment is indicated.
Cementoblastoma is a true neoplasm, which is commonly associated with lower posterior teeth, radiographic image is very characteristic, cortical bone expansion is common.Surgical intervention is the treatment of choice.
