Burning Sensation

About 5 months ago i experienced a burning sensation on my scrotum the 1st time having intercourse with someone.  i went to my dermatologist and i was diagnosed with a yeast infection.  i was presicbed pramosone and nystop powder.  that worked fairly well but didn't get rid of the general discomfort.  i went on oxistat and that helped more.  most of the symptoms are gone however i'm still experiencing a slight stinging sensation (localized in one area area on the scrotum) that will not go away.  all and all i was on medication for about 3 months.  i don't know if it's related because i went for a second opinion and i was told 5 months would be more than enough to get rid of any yeast infection.  the odd thing is that the stinging sensation comes and goes (i.e. will feel fine for a few hours, then will sting for a little while).  i thought it might by psychological but that seems unlikely as it's localized and comes and goes.

is there anything you can suggest?

thanks in advance.

Psychological, is my vote. The fact that's localized and comes and goes is evidence for its being psychological, not against it.  If you had a yeast to begin with, it's long gone.  Now you're just thinking about it.  Best to do nothing and move on.

Take care.
