Capillaries in neck

Capillaries in neck

My thyroid, which was almost completely covered in nodules (2 of which were over 3 cm) caused a tremendous amount of swelling and bright redness on my neck.  Since having had a total thyroidectomy in 2009 I no longer have a neck like a football player and the bright redness has reduced conciderably but there is still noticable redness, which I now understand is caused by broken caplillaries.  My question is will the redness ever go away and if so is there somethingI  can do to help it along faster?

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum!

Laser therapy is usually successful in reducing telangiectasia (broken capillaries) on the face and neck.
Your dermatologist should evaluate the lesions and decide whether other therapeutic options (including cosmeceuticals) could provide additional benefits.
