Discolouration of penis glands and bruised frenulum

Discolouration of penis glands and bruised frenulum

Hi,

I have been circumcised for about 18 months due to phimosis. I healed ok and everything including sex was fine. However i started to notice the left underside of my penis gland that attaches to the frenulum began to change to a greyish / blueish colour. There was no pain but it was noticeable. This eventually stopped but the right underside of my penis gland started to change to a greyish / blueish colour as well. There was still no pain. This stayed like this for a few months until one day after having sex with my girlfirend i noticed my frenulum was all red and bruised. I put some ice on it and let it cool and heal for a few days. The bruising started to go down but there was a little bit of pain. The problem is now that every time i have sex my frenulum bruises and the grey discolouration on the underside of my penis really hurts.

I do not know if the greyish / blueish discolouration is a result of having phimosis before i was circumcised and also i do not know why the frenulum is not healing properly. Is it because i am not giving it enough time to heal before i have sex again. The greyish / blueish bit on the underside of the penis head is very sensitive and sometimes even the slightest tap on my trousers causes pain. It gets better then sex/masterbation just makes it worse again.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your advice is appreciated

I really don't know.  There's no question that your penis is fully healed after 18 months.  Even penises that didn't have surgery can get irritated after masturbation or sex.  As for the greyish discoloration, I really don't know of any conditions that cause that.  I suspect that you never looked as closely as you're doing now.  I think your best bet is to show your penis to the urologist who operated on you and/or to a dermatologist.  You need reassurance that your penis is normal, which I'm quite sure is what you'll find out.  As for friction-induced redness and irritation, minimizing friction and keeping the skin lubricated should do the trick.

Best.
