I have small sores in the corners of my mouth they do not hurt but are bothersome cosmeticaly, I have been two several dermotoligist and they said I have perleche. From salavia in the corners of my mouth mabey from drolling. I aslo have seen a dentist and was treated as angular chlitis, I have used many creams such as Triamcinolone,Hydrocortisone and Iodoquinol, nystatin and triamcinolone, ketoconazole, and cutivate ointment, and mycelex troch you put in your mouth,None of these have sloved the problem it is not a sever but can you recomemd a specialist kind of doctor or any thing else I can try, is cosmetic surgury and option? Thank you

"Angular cheilitis" is just another name for "perleche."  The first term means, "inflammation at the corner of the lip;" the second means, "from milk," because infants get it there.

The condition comes from saliva buildup.  The books say it's from yeast infection, but in my experience yeast creams don't do all that much.

It's tough to eradicate this once and for all.  Certainly, surgery isn't an answer.  I would take a cream that helps at least temporarily--my own favorite is Vytone, which is the hydrocortisone-iodiquinol on your list-- and stick with it off and on as needed.  When it clears up for a while, take a break.
