Quad with scrotal sweating

Quad with scrotal sweating

My husband is a C-5,6 quadraplegic and has started to have a lot of moisture (sweating) in his scrotal area and groin. (Had it about a year ago also) This is causing a small breakdown area in his groin (superficial, 1cm, and a little macerated around the edges-I'm an RN) He had it about a month ago and we cleared it up with bedrest and air to the area. He is in a power reclining chair. Is there anything we can do to help this but allow him to still get up in his chair? He's very active. Thank You.

Other than keeping the skin dry and open to the air when possible, I know of no special creams or measures to take.  Nurses and other personnel who work with quadriplegics and others with similar handicaps would be better able than I am to make management suggestions.

Best.
