Wanting treatment

Wanting treatment

About 2 months ago I noticed several small cysts on my scrotum and the base of my penis.  No pain or irritation and no "risky" behavior to worry about (unfortunately).  I went to my doctor who said they were harmless cysts caused by clogged hair folicles and that there really wasn't any treatment.  That being said, my doctor told me to try a triple antibiotic ointment for a few weeks.  That really didn't help too much.  She then prescribed me "clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream usp".  That isn't helping much either.  Is there anything else I can do to get these cysts to go away?

Cysts are small sacs.  They are common on the scrotum and don't mean anything.  The only way to get rid of a cyst is by surgical removal.  I doubt very much that that's worth doing in your case.  These are part of you--no need for you to be self-conscious or your partners to be concerned.

Best.
