permanent waxing rashing

by Anna Carroll, Oct 05, 2000 12:00AM
I waxed my armpits about a month and a half ago and the rash will not go away.  I've tried not using deodorant and also tried your suggestion to the girl who'd had her eyebrows waxed that day(cold compresses and neosporin).  The rash will seem almost gone, with only one or two bumps and then the next day it will flair up again.  Please help me, I'm really, really sick of this!

Anna:

I'm honestly not sure how waxing could cause a rash lasting this long, even if it is intermittent.  Perhaps it's something different, like seborrhea or folliculitis.  Neither is serious, though neither is easy to permanently eradicate.  I think you will need to see a doctor for definitive diagnosis and treatment.

Good luck.
