difficulty swallowing

this is long but bare with me...i am a 19 year old male...it started 4 months ago. for a couple of days it was hard 2 swallow.  like i would put the food in my mouth and think...ok...swallow now...its like i forgot how 2 swallow or something...????  after  a week of the swallowing being difficult it turned into not being able 2 swallow AT ALL! except 4 like the first 20 mins or so i was awake....that lasted 4 three weeks. after those three weeks i became able to swallow liquids...now its 3 months later and i can still only swallow liquids. my doc says its anxiety.  my xanax does help a lil but noy much.  about twice a week i'll go through a couple of hours of not being able 2 swallow at all...and lately i've been having difficulty breathing 2 especially at night(i am a smoker) anxiety too?? ive seen an ENT and a GI. got an endoscopy and everything. both showed nothing was wrong. i do have acid reflux to which i am on prevacid 4.  i wanna believe this is anxiety but it feels to physical.  beleive it or not i've only lost 10 pounds throughoit these 4 months (currently 140 pounds) can anyone relate?? or ever heard of this?? p.s. it sucks being hungry 24/7

I have the anxiety the same way your describing and it is scary for me to swallow at times as well.  This is anxiety at it's worst.  Your anxiety is going into an area that is very dangerous.  You need some help more than what your doctor is offering.  Your need a better pill indeed and you need a good therapist to help you come up with some better coping skills for your anxiety.  please seek some better help.
