Busted Eye Blood Vessel

I believe I have a busted blood vessel in my left eye. My boyfriend and I were playing with my dog, my dog snapped at him and my boyfriend pulled away quickly and his hand popped me right above my left eye and immediately the entire left corner of my eye filled with blood and swole up for a  short time. It is still a little sore, but is entirely blood red on the whole left side of my eye. Will this go away on its own?

That is a subconjunctival hemorrhage. If there is no pain and no reduced vision then you don't need it checked unless you need the reassurance of an office exam. It's big, may get bigger for a day or two as the blood settles. Will likely take 2-3 weeks to be white and clear like it was. Sometimes the blood irritates the eye and interfers with blinking. You can use artifical tears and warm compresses in that case.
