Double vision and lazy eye after scleral buckle surgery

Recently I had scleral buckle surgery to repair a detached retina.  The retina is back in place and functioning however I have double vision and I developed a lazy eye a week after the surgery.  Is the double vision and lazy eye permanent?

These are not unusual complications after RD surgery. Ask your retina MD to send you to a strabismus/eye muscle specialitsts (often called pediatric ophthalmologists). They can be permanent, they can some times clear up.
