Flashing lights

Flashing lights

i  had  retina  detachment  surgery 2 months  ago  and   I  am    still  seeing   flashing  lights.    I  have  a   bad  cataract  in  the  same  eye  but  must  wait   before   have  it  removed  because  I   have  diabetes.   How   long  will  the   flashing  light   remain.;  Is   this  considered  part  of  the    healing  process?    Does  the  cataract  cause  the  flashing  light?

Flashing lights means there is residual traction on the retina.  This can last for some time after retinal detachment surgery.  This is not due to your cataract.
