Fluid behind the eye

My husband is experiencing a darkening of his vision.  He previously went to a doctor who told him he had fluid leaking behind the eye.  Is this a sign of glaucoma?  What could possibly cause it.  He thinks that it affects him when he is stressed out is it possible.

Multiple possibilities including central serous chorioretinopathy, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.  See a retinal specialist ophthalmologist for proper evaluation and treatment.  Yes, central serous can be affected by stress hormones if that is what he has.
