My Left eye is Dilated

by Seth454, Nov 26, 2007 02:22PM
I was having some problems with my left contact drying out rapidly today and used an eyedrop called Naphon-A to provide relief. After I had taken my contact out and re-wetted it with the eyedrops I decided after about ten minutes to take my contacts out. I was having some blurre vision and ran into the bathroom and noticed that my left eye was/is dilated very large and my right eye is fine. I have contacted my eye doctor but was hoping I could get some clarification on this matter before i hear back from him.
Thank you

Naphcon-A has chemicals in it that constrict the blood vessels and dilate the pupil. Normally it won't dilate the eye but in contact lens wearings more gets inside the eye and it can do it. It should wear off without problem over several hours.
