Pain and a bit of swelling in lower eyelid

Yesterday I noticed that my left lower eyelid felt strange. Whenever I touched it, even lightly, I feel a bruise touching sort of pain. There is a little bit of swelling, however nothing too noticeable. Is this bad or something I shouldn't be too worried about?

It could be a chalazion or stye among other things.  Try warm compresses and see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.  There are definitely other possible causes, but this is the most common one.
