Permanent Migraine Aura for 11 years!

I recently read about a woman who was diagnosed with permanent migraine aura- which I was told 11 years ago did not exist!!

I have had this for that length of time and Im depserate for someone to help me.

I see very vivid bright colours of mainly blue, purple, pink and green in waves and lines across my vision. I also see more of these around straight lines, where they seem to fizz. I see this 24/7 365 days a year, even when I close my eyes.

I am a lifelong migraine sufferer but this condition has only been present for the last 11 years. Back then I had scans and tests galore and was eventually sent to a child psychologist as they thought I was making it up.

Please offer any advice you can to help me.

What you are describing certainly sounds like a migraine aura.  You don't mention what medications you are using or have tried for your migraine.  This would have to be managed medically, since the aura is happening in your brain, not your eyes.  Try to find a migraine specialist, possibly at a university, to help you.
