Sudden distorted vision

What can cause my vision to suddenly go to seeing EVERYTHING in broken pieces, like a broken mirror, still clear, with no distortion in colors? No headache, or pain or other symptoms, and lasted for just about five minutes. Never happened before. No change in prescription meds, or activities.

Visual migraine is most probable diagnosis.  Other things like transient ischemic attack and other neurologic problems can occasionally cause this type of thing but visual migraine would definitely be the number 1 cause.  Please see an ophthalmologist for a complete evaluation and report any new problems right away.
